Reed Steininger

C. REED STEININGER, age 85 of Solon. Died March 11, 2010. 32nd Degree Mason, Solon Lodge #757, Solon Kiwanian. Beloved husband of Virginia (nee Lentz); dear father of David Steininger, and Janellen Steininger-Creevey (the late Rae); loving brother of Marjorie Ketchum-Sirney, and the late Nancy Westinfelder and Charles Steininger; cherished uncle of Mike (Molly) Steininger, Karol (Richard) Landman, Kathy (Tom) Zuendell, Karen "Sami" (John) Lenark, Bonnie Sano, Starr Thompson, Bert, and Mark Ketchum. Services Wednesday March 17, 11AM at Solon Community Church, 33955 Sherbrook Park Drive, Solon. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family will welcome friends at KINDRICH-McHUGH STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON FROM 5-8 PM TUESDAY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Solon Kiwanis Club Steininger Scholarship Fund, Solon Community Church Music Department, or Alzheimer’s Association.

 

Elizabeth Garner

ELIZABETH C. GARNER (nee Clayton), age 76 of Aurora. Died March 10, 2010. Beloved wife of Harry Richard Garner; dear mother of Ann (William) Flickinger and David (Amy) Garner; loving grandmother of Daniel and Elizabeth Garner; cherished daughter of the late Marjorie and John Clayton; sister of Virginia Heckler and the late John Clayton. Services Monday March 15, 1PM at KINDRICH-McHUGH STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON, where family will welcome friends FROM 2-4 PM SUNDAY. Interment in North Monroeville, Ohio

Elizabeth was born June 24, 1933 in North Monroeville, Ohio. She graduated from Monroeville High School in 1951 and Miami University (Ohio) with a degree in Education in 1955. She married Richard on August 11, 1957. She worked in the Bedford School system until she had her first born child. She resided in Solon for 19 years and has spent the past 22 years in Aurora. Her hobbies included her love of family and grandchildren, needlework, and vacationing in Elk Rapids, Michigan. She died at her home under the care of her family from complications of colon cancer. She will be interred in the family lot in North Monroeville, Ohio.

 

Dorothy A. Leslie

DOROTHY ANN "DOLL" LESLIE (NEE Smith), age 85, former resident of Solon for over 50 years, passed away at home March 8, 2010. Faith, Family, and a love for water and the sun would best describe Doll. She was a devout Catholic, whose Christian faith was most important in her life. A graduate of Ursuline Academy of the Sacred Heart, Ursuline College, and a member of St. Rita’s Church since 1952. Beloved wife of the late John Joseph; dearest mother of Jack, Timothy (Victoria), Neil (Kathy), Jo Anne Leslie, Mark (Mary), Joseph (Constance), Dorothy (Francisco) Novilla; devoted grandmother of Jamieson, Lindsey, Patrick, Vincent, Melanie, Ryan, Eric, Traci, Nicolette, Alisa, and Cara; loving great-grandmother of Eric, Kira, Roman, Brennan, and Joey; beloved sister of Neil and the late Mary, Janet, Edward, and Virginia; adored aunt and great aunt. Mass of Christian Burial Friday March 12, 10AM at St. Rita Church, 32820 Baldwin Road, Solon, Interment All Souls Cemetery. CAROL A. ZURCA, age 65 of Bainbridge Twp. Died March 4, 2010. Beloved mother of Anthony (Michelle) Zurca, Michael (Wendy) Zurca, and Jan (Kent) Taylor; loving grandmother of Jackson, Halle, Stephanie, Lisa (Kevin), Kelsey, and Abbey. Memorial Mass Saturday March 6, 2PM at Holy Angels Church, 18205 Chillicothe Road (SR 306), Bainbridge Twp. Interment Restland Cemetery.
