RICHARD D. TAYLOR, age 43 of Westfield Center. Beloved husband of Kathleen A. (nee Steinbauer); loving father of Nathaniel; cherished son of Bernard and Shirley Taylor of Ravenna; son-in-law of Thomas L. and Mary Ann Steinbauer of Clyde; dear brother of Patricia (David) Taylor-Trow, of NH, Linda, of IN, and John C., of Yemen; brother-in-law of Cynthia (Troy) Leibengood, Thomas S., Timothy, Molly, and Nicholas Steinbauer; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Monday August 9, 11AM at Church of the Resurrection, 32001 Cannon Rd., Solon. Family will visit with friends at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON FROM 2-8 PM SUNDAY. Memorials may be made to Medina County Park District, 6364 Deerview Ln., Medina, 44256

Rich was born on November 2, 1966 in Ravenna to Bernard and Shirley (nee Corbett) Taylor. He was raised in Rootstown and graduated from Rootstown High school in 1985. He joined the Army and served in Germany from 1985-1988 and continued as a reservist until 1993 while attending Kent State University. He continued his schooling at the University of Chicago and graduated with a Masters in Finance. He met Katie while attending Kent State and they married on May 18, 1996. Their son Nate was born in 2007. He worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis and Cleveland and most recently for the Treasury Department as an Officer for the Comptroller of the Currency. He was a volunteer firefighter for Westfield Center. Rich loved the outdoors, motorcycles, and racing. He died early on the morning of August 4, 2010 under the watchful care of his family from complications of lung cancer.
