RAYMOND C. DYNOWSKI, age 87 of Solon. Died May 21, 2010. Army Veteran WWII and Korean War. Former husband of Leona R. (nee Przybylski); dear father of Alan; brother of Irene Peairs, Ed, and the late Norm and John Dynowski. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday May 25, 10:30am at St. Rita Church, 32820 Baldwin Rd., Solon. Interment Roselawn Cemetery. Family will visit with friends at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON FROM 2-4 AND 6-8 PM MONDAY.

Ray was born July 26, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Mary (nee Kotecki) Dynowski, the oldest of five children. Detailing his career he was a School Bus driver for the Solon Board of Education, auxilliary Solon police officer, volunteer for Solon Fire Department, and also was an owner of Solon Granite Memorial Works with his family. He was a proud and passionate member of the US Army under General Patton during WWII. He was a tank operator for Company C, 35th Tank Battalion, 4th Armored Division and attained the rank of Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Solon Amvets, VFW Post 1863, Disabled Veterans of Maple Hts., Past president of 4th Armored Division Association, and also member of Veterans of The Battle of the Bulge.
